Galen is the prince of the Syrena, sent to land to find a girl he’s heard can communicate with fish. Emma is on vacation at the beach. When she runs into Galen — literally, ouch! — both teens sense a connection. But it will take several encounters, including a deadly one with a shark, for Galen to be convinced of Emma’s gifts. Now, if he can only convince Emma that she holds the key to his kingdom . . .

Told from both Emma and Galen’s points of view, here is a fish-out-of-water story that sparkles with intrigue, humor, and waves of romance.

Look out Vampires, Syrenas (Merman) are taking over and boy they are HOT!

I first wanted this book because I loved the title and the amazing cover. I had know idea it was about Merman – sorry Syernas. After reading it I was blown away by the great story lines and twists.  Banks is an amazing writer who knows how to keep her audience wanting more.

The characters are funny, smart and sexy!

Emma is witty, smart and adorably funny (in a clumsy sort of way) and Galen is strong, gorgeous and innocent. He makes me smile whenever he thinks of Emma. If only she wasn’t meant to marry his brother. I love the undeniable connection they share. It is cute without being sickening (I would go to an island with Galen any day).

It’s great that you get to read it from both points of veiw. It makes you connect more with both characters.

I loved that the book finished with what I was hoping and I can’t wait for the next instalment! Make sure you grab an eBook copy of Legacy Lost to pass the time. It is a prequel to Of Poseidon and answers a few questions you might have.

Of Poseidon made me laugh and cry. I will be dreaming of the ocean for the next year waiting for sexy, hot Syrenas. Of Triton is expected in 2013 so keep an eye out 🙂

4 Stars: I really liked it. I recommend it.
