It’s been months since the ghost of Anna Korlov opened a door to Hell in her basement and disappeared into it, but ghost-hunter Cas Lowood can’t move on.

His friends remind him that Anna sacrificed herself so that Cas could live—not walk around half dead. He knows they’re right, but in Cas’s eyes, no living girl he meets can compare to the dead girl he fell in love with.

Now he’s seeing Anna everywhere: sometimes when he’s asleep and sometimes in waking nightmares. But something is very wrong…these aren’t just daydreams. Anna seems tortured, torn apart in new and ever more gruesome ways every time she appears.

Cas doesn’t know what happened to Anna when she disappeared into Hell, but he knows she doesn’t deserve whatever is happening to her now. Anna saved Cas more than once, and it’s time for him to return the favor.

I was so sad when I found out that the Anna series had only two books. Noooooooo I screamed! That is not enough Cas or Anna. How could you do this to us Blake.

Well ‘Girl of Nightmares‘ had a lot of unanswered questions to sort out. Blake did an amazing job of finishing the short series. All our favourite characters are back along with a few new ones. Cas learns the truth behind his fathers knife, and we find out how far Cas is willing to go for Anna.

I felt that it ended to quickly. Everything was answered but I needed to have more. I really wished there was a third book. Even a novella about his dad would be amazing! Hint, hint Blake 🙂

Anyone who loved Anna Dressed in Blood will love Girl of Nightmares. If you have’t read either one you better get to it. Only a few days left to add it to your Christmas list 🙂

5 Stars: Amazing! I loved it and could not put it down. I highly recommend it.

Just your average boy-meets-girl, girl-kills-people story…

Cas Lowood has inherited an unusual vocation: He kills the dead. So did his father before him, until his gruesome murder by a ghost he sought to kill. Now, armed with his father’s mysterious and deadly athame, Cas travels the country with his kitchen-witch mother and their spirit-sniffing cat. Together they follow legends and local lore, trying to keep up with the murderous dead—keeping pesky things like the future and friends at bay.

When they arrive in a new town in search of a ghost the locals call Anna Dressed in Blood, Cas doesn’t expect anything outside of the ordinary: move, hunt, kill. What he finds instead is a girl entangled in curses and rage, a ghost like he’s never faced before. She still wears the dress she wore on the day of her brutal murder in 1958: once white, but now stained red and dripping blood. Since her death, Anna has killed any and every person who has dared to step into the deserted Victorian she used to call home.

And she, for whatever reason, spares his life.

I thought I would write a review on Anna Dressed In Blood as the next installment of the Anna series, Girl of Nightmares, comes out this week.

I love everything about this book. Ghost and ghost hunters, witches, mind readers and plenty of blood!

The whole time I was reading this book, I could not help but think of Supernatural (the TV series) which made Cas resemble the sexy Winchester boys as I read (YUMMY!).

Anna is a kickass, scary, rip you apart and store you in the floor ghost. I really enjoyed her as a character.

I hope that a novella prequel about Cas’s dad comes out. I’m sure we will find out about his past in the series but I would love him to have his own book 🙂

If you love books with great character development and supernatural teenagers you will love Anna Dressed In Blood!

So if you haven’t read Anna Dressed In Blood yet, you need to go out right now and get yourself a copy and make sure you pick up Girl Of Nightmares from August 7th 2012.

5 Stars: Amazing! I loved it and could not put it down. I highly recommend it.

I am excited for the next installment in the Anna Series. It’s so close and I need some more ghost hunting action. Also what an awesome cover.

“Waiting on” Wednesday is a weekly meme hosted by Jill at Breaking the Spine. It’s where we can share the upcoming titles we’re most excited to get our hands on!
