Hi everyone it’s Top Ten Tuesday Time 🙂
Top Ten Tuesday is a weekly meme created at The Broke and the Bookish.
This weeks question: Top Ten Most Vivid Worlds/Settings In Books
Well I thought this was going to be easy, but i struggled. I can’t wait to see what everyone comes up with. 🙂
Room is a great answer!
The reader definitely gets familiar with the setting, and it is definitely memorable.
Thanks 🙂
I don’t think i could ever forget the details of the Room.
Hah, we have several choices in common. Great list! I’ll have to bump Dragonswood up my list to see the setting for myself.
I would definitely bump it up 🙂
How did I forget Room off my list?! A gripping read.
It really is 🙂
But your list is amazing!
yes please. Anywhere in the Potter world and camp half-blood would be so fun!

🙂 I agree
Thanks for stopping by!
Great list! I simply adore so many of the ones you listed! Have you read The Lost Hero? I love the new direction that Riordan is taking with the characters and can’t wait for the Mark of Athen this fall!
Here’s a link to mine!
I love The Lost Hero! Riordan is so amazing. I am the same, bring on Mark of Athena 🙂
I don’t want them to end lol
Have you heard he is making a Nordic god series?
Some of those are on my list. I didn’t put Room, cause it was too dark for me, but I guess I could. Others beside that I like.
Here is mine TTT
OZ! *smacks head* Why didn’t I think of that? Oh well, I already hit “publish” 🙂 Room has been on my to-read list forever and a day, but I’ve been avoiding it because it looked emotionally draining (one of those books you have to prep yourself for). I think I’ll bump it up in the queue. Scrum-diddly-umptious list!
Hahaha oh definitely bump it up 😉
And Thanks!
YES! The Lightening Thief!!
Awesome list! I had four of your ten. I didn’t even think of Oz or Wonderland- those are good ones. Thanks for stopping by my blog and saying hello! I’m a new Twitter follower. =) Can’t wait to hear more of your great reviews!

Awesome! I’m following you on twitter too 🙂
I can’t believe I forgot to put Wonderland on my list. I am a moron.
Your list is fantastic!
Haha Thanks Nicole 🙂
I would never have thought of Room, but you are so right. It also reminded me of the place where Annie Wilkes locked Paul in Misery (Stephen King), I should have added these to my list!! Good one.
I haven’t read that but if it is like the Room i can imagine 🙂
The Lightning Thief! I haven’t seen that one around, but I LOVE the settings in it – great choice! 😀

I love it 🙂

You are so incredibly right about Room. I actually had to stop reading it at one point because it felt SO intense. Wow – that book gave me more than my fair share of shivers and goosebumps. Awesome list of books! 🙂
Thanks Megan 🙂

Hi there! Narnia is a great pick and I guess I’ll have to dive into the Lord Of the Rings world anytime in the future but I don’t quite get the Hunger Games – I mean, wouldn’t you find that scary? And like…disturbing? 🙂
Hi Laura 🙂
If i had to live in Panem i would definitely find it scary and disturbing (not just in the arena) but thats what makes the setting so vivid and graphic 🙂
GREAT list! I totally agree with everything you mentioned! Thanks for stopping by my blog! 🙂
Harry Potter made it onto my list too. How could it not? JK Rowling did a fantastic job with her attention to the setting details. Great list. I hadn’t even thought of Oz. Dangit…Great list.
I love that 99% of people put Harry on 🙂
Thanks for stopping by!

Room is an inspired idea. Yes, of course, Room. The setting in Room is so important and so vivid that the entire book was named after it!
Here’s my Top Ten Most Vivid Settings in Books.I’d love for you to stop by and see what you think!
Heh, I love that you picked Room too 🙂 and I can’t believe I forgot Wonderland!!
Great list – and thanks for stopping by! 🙂

I agree so much about Hogwarts, Neverland, Wonderland, and Panem (though out of those four, I wouldn’t really want to visit Panem, despite the fact that it truly is vivid). I actually have Dragonswood on my book shelf, but I haven’t read it yet. I can’t wait to check it out and see the world for myself!
Here’s my top ten!
We have a lot of the same ones. I’m seeing a lot of fantasy this week – those fantasy authors really know how to draw us into a world!
Thanks for stopping by my TTT!
